Yesterday I stumbled across something very precious: a survey that I had created for my grandparents to fill out in 1995. Gently folded on old-school computer paper, you know, the kind that connected and had holey edges to it, were the answers on life from four very wise and weathered family members. The last question of the survey was a request for their best advice on life to me, a 12 year-old girl, and it is advice that still holds true today for me as a 28 year-old woman.
Their words ring loud for me: Do what you say, and mean what you do. Whatever you do, follow the Golden Rule. And, do what you want to do — set your mind and body to action and live out your dreams, because if anyone can do it, you can.
If you have goals, or if you just want to live life to the max, don’t just talk about it, put action into it. Not everyone lives with action, but if anyone can do it, you can. Action is a choice. Choose it and start living the life you’ve always dreamed. Weekends are the perfect opportunity to start doing whatever it is that you have been putting off. Make it happen today. Begin your life change now and stop allowing yourself to make excuses. You only have one life to live, make sure you make the most of it.
