Today’s Confidence on the Go episode will put purpose into your intentions so that you drive your desires with action:

  • Increase your awareness of the Law of Intentionality in your life
  • Improve your commitment to being intentional
  • Challenging your ability to express your intentions, both to yourself and to others

Desire without intention is like direction without action.

You helped me win Ali Brown’s

“2013 THE Entrepreneur to Watch of the Year”

I’m excited, honored and humbled to announce to you that Ali Brown selected me as the contest winner for her “2013 Entrepreneur to Watch of the Year”!!!!! Thank you to everyone who voted, rallied and supported the promotion of our community of confidence!  (If you haven’t already heard of Ali, she’s the real deal, listed as one of Forbes’ “Women to Watch”, appearing on Fox Business Network, taking her company to the Inc. 500 list, and more.)

Episode #18 Notes:

Bruce Springsteen “A time comes when you need to stop waiting for the man you want to become and start being the man you want to be.”

James Allen of As a Man Thinketh: “People are anxious to improve their circumstances, but are unwilling to improve themselves; they, therefore, remain bound.”

John Maxwell: “If you want to improve your life, you must first improve yourself.  You must make that a tangible target.”  / “If you want to grow, you need to get over any fear you may have of making mistakes.”

Eleanor Roosevelt said, “One’s philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the choices one makes. In the long run, we shape our lives and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.”

No one improves by accident.  Personal growth just doesn’t happen on its own, you must be intentional about it.

Accidental Growth:

  • Plans to start tomorrow
  • Waits for growth or change to come
  • Learns only from mistakes
  • Depends upon good luck
  • Quits early and often
  • Falls into bad habits
  • Talks big with no follow through
  • Plays it safe
  • Thinks like a victim
  • Relies on talent
  • Stops learning
  • Thinks knows everything

Intentional Growth:

  • Insists on starting today
  • Takes complete responsibility to grow
  • Often learns before mistakes
  • Often modifies path
  • Relies on hard work
  • Perseveres long and hard
  • Fights for good habits
  • Follows through
  • Takes risks
  • Thinks like a learner
  • Relies on character
  • Never stops growing

Success Equation:

(Growth) + Attitude + Opportunity + Action = Luck

The Law of Diminishing Intent says,

“The longer you wait to do something you should do now, the greater the odds that you will never actually do it.”

My challenge for you today is to identify something that you need to do, be intentional about doing it and start.  Maxwell says it best:

“Life is now in session.  Are you present?”

Now, go be INTENTIONAL and do today what you are meant to do to be the best YOU!

Peace, love, and push-ups,
