In this week’s episode of Confidence on the Go, we’re chatting about
Just a quick hello to all of my Keep the Faith listeners out there – thanks for being part of the community of contagious encouragement.
I am proud to be an educator and consultant for Beautycounter, a B-Corp company on a mission to get safer products into the hands of everyone. The lack of regulation in the personal care and cosmetic industry is astounding and it is harming our health in very serious ways. We need more voices to join up on our mission. If you want to put your passion to purpose while being generously compensated, then I would love to start a conversation with you about what it means to be involved in the #saferbeauty tribe that is Beautycounter.
Join the movement of #betterbeauty and message me via email to make your voice really resonate for a cause.
80% of success is showing up.
Vulnerability is about showing up and being seen. It’s tough to do that when we’re terrified about what people might see or think.
Listening without needing to have an answer
Being available for those in need
Exhibiting kindness everywhere you go
Complimenting others intentionally
Creating more “white space” for family members and friends
Prioritizing your most important relationships (keeping date nights, etc.)
Investing in yourself in ways that recharge you so that ultimately you can invest in others
Being trustworthy and refusing to engage in gossip
Doing what you say you are going to do
Taking care of yourself and your health every day.
Eating with balance and moderation
Taking the time to stretch.
Actually showing up wherever you need to be (gym, work, etc.)
Starting a run, walk or bike
Being fully present, without electronic distraction, when around others
Creating consistency, even when discouraged…showing up no matter what
Eliminating the need for excuses and instead, focusing on celebrating that you showed up
Having the courage to tell your story
Not waiting for your story to be perfect before you tell it
Taking steps of obedience towards your calling
Not being discouraged when the result is out of your control
Trusting that God will take your effort and multiply it
Living with an attitude of gratitude and mindset of knowing that the small things matter
Making consistent investments in others through small, daily acts of love
Thank you. I just listened to get out of your own head. I needed that so much. I have been dealing with some health issues and trying to work to get my body back to healthy. It has been really hard at work because of the gossip and back talkers saying I stink. Can you imagine? I’m mortified. I have had days where all I think about is if I smell or do I look nice enough. Just all in my head. I come home in shambles. I keep trying to persevere for my girls and husband. Trying to show up and say hey yes I am working on it and you can’t hurt me. But honestly it does. Going to start to use my blinders and continue to serve others. I wish they could just see Angie. I think I am someone who you could spend an hour and have fun with if given the chance. Trying whole heartedly to be more.
