Just a quick hello to all of my Keep the Faith listeners out there – thanks for being part of the community of contagious encouragement.
I want to thank each and every one of you who allow me to be a part of your daily life and journey by allowing me to be a voice who delivers truth and confidence to your mind. You are each an integral component of the #BeMoreMovement, a movement – that is, our community – of people committed to being more of who we were created to be so that we can give to the world and be more to the world because of our love.
Beautycounter! We are on a mission to get safer products into the hands of everyone. There has not been a law regulating the cosmetic industry since 1938 and, as a result, the ingredients in our cosmetic and personal care products is like the wild-wild-west – it’s chaos. Beautycounter prides ourselves on having the strictest standards for safety and performance, abiding by a Never-List of toxic ingredients we will never use in our products. I am a big believer that every positive, small thing we do in life matters, and with the same sentiment, every small act we take to limit our exposure to toxins, cancer-causing ingredients and endocrine disrupting chemicals makes a big difference. Join the movement of #betterbeauty and give your body the gift of safer products: buy some Beautycounter for yourself today. Shop at www.beautycounter.com/trishblackwell

In short, because they cleanse us and they provide an opportunity to start fresh, to reset, so to speak. Okay, so deeper than that, what’s the real reason why they matter?
They matter because on a deep level they provide hope.
Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness. –Desmond Tutu
Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul – and sings the tunes without words – and never stops at all. –Emily Dickinson

What does Insecurity Detox mean?
Insecurity is simply a label for toxic mindsets or behaviors, more specifically, any mindsets or behaviors that pull you away from God’s truths and your best self. Insecurity manifests itself in hundreds of ways (like, anxiety, low self-esteem, negativity, cynicism, poor body image, feelings of inadequacy, pride, one-upmanship, perfectionism, and fear) … but the result is always the same: it takes you away from being able to be fully engaged player and puts you as a spectator on the sidelines of life.
An insecurity detox is not a detox with a powder, or a drink, but a detox for fear and anxiety, one that focuses on adding things into your life, rather than simply removing things. By adding God’s truth to your life and adding proven positive strategies for a holistic approach to your health, this detox shines light throughout your mind, body and spirit, driving away any dark or lingering residual fears the have made their home in the crevices of your thought life.
In short, an insecurity detox looks like a fresh breath of air. A breath of air inhaled joyfully by someone who has spent the afternoon picnicking in a wildflower field and who, like a child, has found themselves running gleefully, with arms extended wide towards life, a life filled with fullness, potential and joy. It is air that will rejuvenate not just your body, but, your body and your spirit all in the same breathe. It is the breath of freedom.
I sincerely want to thank you for giving me guidance and hope in my journey.
I have been struggling in my marriage for 3 years now. When I got into the relationship I was insecure, hurting, and had poor self confidence and nearly no self-worth. He told me everything I needed to hear, promised me the world, and before I knew it, I felt like a new woman and fell head over heels in love. We got married after a short period of dating and had 2 beautiful children. However, our marriage ended up entangled in a web of lies. He fell into a trap of lies, drug abuse, as well as financial and legal trouble. When I stood up for myself, things progressed into terrible verbal abuse. He knew my hurts and insecurities and used them to keep me chained to my past and to manipulate me when he felt he needed to. I have a long history of anxiety and depression, as well as multiple insecurities and poor confidence. If it weren’t for you, I fear I would have stayed trapped in this cycle. I related to your story about your toxic relationship, and found hope in your story of victory (by the way, your baby and your family is beautiful and I am so sincerely happy for you!!). If it weren’t for you uplifting me, encouraging me, empowering me week after week with your personal story and your words of victory, I would have never found the strength to make the choice to walk away for the health of myself and my children. I would have never thought of myself as being worthy of being happy and having a peaceful, loving, joy-filled home. I made the choice to believe in myself, to love myself, to have confidence in myself, and to choose to live a life worth telling a story about. I will not let my story be a tragedy. My story will be a story of survival and strength thanks to you.
I have a lot of work ahead of me as I work to rebuild and create a new life for my children and I. Thank you for reminding me to live in faith and to have hope for a better future.
I am hoping at some point I will be able to meet you and maybe pursue a mentorship with you; until then, I will continue to be a loyal listener. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Trish. You are a blessing from God.
