My name is Trish Blackwell and I’ve got a BREAKOUT plan for you. I got tired and frustrated of not feeling comfortable in my own body and I finally decided to do something about it. I was a perfectionist with big dreams but no execution. It was always my intention to follow my dreams; the problem was that I kept getting in my own way. Then, after two near death experiences I changed my thinking and I changed my life. The night I woke up paralyzed by an attacker, I never knew if I would ever get to be free again. Thankfully, the nightmare lasted only one night, but it took me months to move from victim to victor as I recovered emotionally and psychologically from the experience. A few short months later I found myself skidding across a back country road, my body flipping and my head banging the pavement as my carbon fiber bicycle tumbled behind me. I had been hit by a mulch truck while training for my first Ironman. Though I didn’t incur any serious injuries I did see my life flash before my eyes as I was flung across the road. I was certain it was over. Miraculously I limped away with minor injuries and I was given more than second chance at life, I was given a new perspective.

I started out just like you.
Really, I did. I remember being a child and knowing that the world was my oyster. I knew I could do anything that I set my mind to and I knew I was special. I had to live life to the fullest and I had to stop tolerating average thinking in my own thoughts. Death can certainly make the heart come alive, it certainly stirred mine magnetically. Over the past few years I studied psychology, personal development leaders, neurolinguistic programming, personal training, lifestyle fitness and health fervently. A couple breakthroughs I have had in particular is knowing that something I have wanted to do for along time writing a fiction book. I now know I can do and I am in the process of writing it. Professionally, I had finally reached the level I’d been heavily focused on (three promotions in three years) achieving and once I had a minute to stop to breathe, I realized I was terrified.
